Is Installation Covered Under Warranty?

Installation, labor, and related service costs are not covered under the Crystal Quest warranty.

The Crystal Quest One-Year Limited Manufacturer’s Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for eligible products. Installation services and labor costs are not covered under warranty.

At the same time, many Crystal Quest products must be properly installed by a qualified, licensed professional in order for warranty coverage to remain valid.

What the Warranty Covers

The warranty covers:

  • Manufacturing defects in materials

  • Manufacturing defects in workmanship

  • Products that are used as intended and installed correctly

Crystal Quest may, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective product or component, if defect has been confirmed.

What Installation Is Not Covered

The warranty does not cover:

  • Installation labor or service fees

  • Plumbing or electrical work

  • Setup, removal, or reinstallation costs

  • Service calls, diagnostics, or on-site labor

  • Costs related to improper installation

These costs are the responsibility of the customer or installer.

Professional Installation Requirement

Many Crystal Quest systems are intended for professional installation. Warranty coverage may be denied if a product is:

  • Installed incorrectly

  • Installed by an unqualified or unlicensed individual (where required)

  • Operated outside specified pressure, temperature, or water quality limits

This requirement is especially important for:

  • Reverse osmosis systems

  • Under-sink systems

  • Water softeners

  • Backwashing filters

  • Whole house systems

Damage Caused by Installation

The warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

  • Improper plumbing or electrical connections

  • Overpressure or water pressure spikes

  • Failure to follow installation instructions

  • Use without required safety devices (such as pressure regulators or flood protection)

Damage caused by installation errors is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Why Installation Is Excluded

Installation conditions vary widely based on plumbing configuration, site conditions, and installer skill. Because these factors are outside Crystal Quest’s control, installation labor and related costs are excluded from warranty coverage.

Quick Summary

  • Installation and labor are not covered under warranty

  • Proper professional installation is required for warranty eligibility

  • Damage caused by installation errors is not covered

  • Warranty applies only to manufacturing defects
