What Happens If My Package Shows Delivered but I Didn’t Receive It?

If a package shows delivered but cannot be located, Crystal Quest can help review carrier details, delivery confirmation, and guide next steps.

In some cases, a shipment may be marked as delivered by the carrier even though it is not immediately located. While Crystal Quest works closely with shipping partners, once an order leaves our facility, delivery and delivery confirmation are handled entirely by the carrier.

We understand how concerning this situation can be and will help review the available information to determine appropriate next steps.


Important Note About Delivery Scans

Occasionally, carriers may mark a package as delivered slightly before it physically arrives, especially during periods of high delivery volume.

Because delivery scans are controlled by the carrier:

  • A “delivered” status may not always mean the package has arrived yet

  • Packages may still arrive later the same day or the following business day

Allowing a short time window often resolves these situations.


First Steps to Take

If your tracking shows “delivered” but you did not receive the package:

  • Check around your delivery location (front door, side door, garage, porch, mailroom, or building office)

  • Ask household members, neighbors, or building staff if the package was accepted on your behalf

  • Review the carrier’s tracking page for delivery notes, photos, or signature confirmation

Packages are sometimes placed in secure or unexpected locations.


Review Delivery Confirmation Details

Carriers may provide additional delivery confirmation, including:

  • Photo evidence showing where the package was left

  • Signature confirmation indicating who accepted delivery

These records are maintained by the carrier and are used to determine whether a shipment was delivered to the correct address.

If delivery confirmation or photo evidence is available, the carrier is typically the best first point of contact.


When Delivery Photos or Signatures Are Provided

If a carrier provides photo evidence or signature confirmation, the shipment is considered delivered by the carrier to the address on file.

In these cases:

  • Crystal Quest cannot override the carrier’s delivery confirmation

  • Resolution options are determined by the carrier’s policies and investigation process

  • The carrier must be contacted directly for further clarification or claims

Because delivery is handled entirely by the carrier after shipment, Crystal Quest is limited in what actions can be taken when confirmed delivery evidence exists.


Allow a Short Time Window

If the package still cannot be located:

  • Allow up to 24-48 hours after the delivery scan

  • Continue monitoring the tracking page for updates

Many packages are located or delivered shortly after the initial scan.


Contact Crystal Quest Support

If the carrier is unable to resolve the issue or advises you to contact the shipper:

  • Contact Crystal Quest support

  • Provide your order number and tracking number

  • Share any details the carrier provided

Our team will review the situation and assist where possible based on the carrier’s findings.


Carrier Investigations & Insurance

When necessary, Crystal Quest can assist with requesting a carrier investigation.

  • Investigation outcomes are determined by the carrier

  • GPS data, delivery scans, photos, or signatures may be reviewed

  • Insurance or declared value coverage is handled according to carrier policies

Crystal Quest will assist where possible but cannot always guarantee replacement or refund when a carrier confirms delivery.


Freight Deliveries

For freight or palletized shipments:

  • Delivery appointments are scheduled in advance

  • A signature is typically required

  • Delivery is coordinated directly with the recipient
